ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I take this opportunity to thank the University of Eldoret for allowing the `students to go for a field trip for the fulfilment of the course AGE 299. Thank you for providing financial and allowing us not to attend lectures for one week. I want to pass my regards to the entire school of agriculture for their participation of the trip. My special thanks goes to the head of department of agricultural economics and rural development Dr Anderson for not only making prior arrangement for the trip but also for accompanying us and providing guidance, moral support and proper understanding of what we were taught by explaining further.
I also want to thank Mr limo, administrator school of agriculture and Mrs Emmy for accompanying us, providing moral support, guidance and expressing concern to us. The trip became successful and enjoyable because of your company. I also want to thank the department of transport for their support by providing us with the bus. The driver did a wonderful job by ensuring that we reached all the places planned and we came back safely thank you so much.
I thank all the people that we met at different stations like KVDA tree nursery, Pekerra irrigation scheme, and Kevin at Kevin’s farm in Kabarack among others for giving us detailed information about the firm. I personally learnt a lot about agricultural enterprises. I extend my appreciation to my fellow students for their cooperation disciple and adhering to the instructions. All this made the trip the most successful one.
Finally, I want to thank our almighty father for the safe journey good health, protection and care that he gave we could not have made it by our own strength. Thank you so much.

Under the prescribed syllabus of TU, student of Bachelor in Pharmacy (1st year) were required to have visit field programme under the subject of pharmacognosy to explore their knowledge in plant possessing medicinal value. It was our great pleasure to visit Daman and its surrounding area and collect different species of medicinal plants found in Daman community forest.
We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to Department of Pharmacy of National Model College for Advanced Learning for providing such an opportunity to make us familiar with the medicinal plants, their uses and their therapeutic values.
